The Los Angeles native, David Glen Eisley, is no stranger to the music business. As a member of the popular band Guiffria in the mid 80’s, David wrote and sang the Top Twenty hit “Call to the Heart” for MCA Records Amidst the success of that first single and their Top Twenty album, Eisley and Guiffria toured the world. They were special guests for Deep Purple on their “Perfect Strangers” tour and Foreigner’s “Agent Provocateur” tour. They ended the year by headlining in Japan.

Eisley formed his next band, Dirty White Boy with veteran guitarist Earl Slick in the fall of 1988. Signed to Polygram Records the following year, the band released their first album and toured extensively throughout Europe and Japan where they built a strong presence and following.

Now working primarily on his own projects, David has been called upon to work with such artists as the rockers KISS to the more MOR sounds of Michael Bolton—singing, recording and touring. He recently has been recording amongst the likes of Roger Daltrey, Ted Nugent, Clarence Clemons and Slash on several different  independent projects.

David’s latest project is one that is very close to his heart. Eisley was brought in by Jeffrey Bennett, founder & CEO of Nature’s Recipe Pet Foods to pen a collection of songs for the documentary, “America’s Forgotten Heroes...War Dogs” on which Bennett was an Executive Producer.

The “War Dogs” project was developed as a video and documentary film to educate the public on the role these dogs played in saving countless lives of American soldiers in Vietnam. It also depicts how at the end of the war they were classified as equipment” and abandoned as such. For this project, David went deep inside himself to write some of the most insightful music and lyrics to capture the spirit and emotions of this painful chapter in American history.

The documentary is now playing throughout the world on various television stations and on the Discovery Channel September 13 stateside, giving Eisley the perfect opportunity to devote his energy to the upcoming album release. While forming the nucleus of a touring band, radio airplay is being developed at college and rock stations throughout the country. As radio airplay builds, a tour will be set to follow in the hottest markets.

David resides in Agua Dulce, California with his wife, actress Olivia Hussey, their two children, six dogs, two pot belly pigs, cat, chinchilla and African Grey parrot. Need we say more!
